Pasta and meatballs in white sauce

This is possibly the quickest and easiest way to make a good ol' pasta and meatballs dish.  The trick: frozen meatballs, and use sour cream (or creme fraiche if you can find it!) for the white sauce.

~Special thanks to Ben for agreeing to use Fridgespiration as his test model for his new camera~

What's in the fridge:
Pasta for 2
6 frozen meatballs
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 TBSP sugar
1/2 a tomato, diced
2 heaping spoonfuls sour cream
Parmasean for topping
Sprinkles of dried basil for garnish

What's in the fridge

Directions:
- All while the pasta is cooking:
- Saute the onion in olive oil until soft (about 5 minutes)
- Add sugar to onions (to carmalize) and turn up heat for about 5 minutes

Add sugar to onions.
- Add tomatoes to onion, and simmer for about 3 minutes
- Meanwhile, microwave frozen meatballs: 1 minute each side, then add to the onions & tomatoes

Meatball, onion & tomato mixture
- Add pasta and sourcream to mixture and leave on low heat for about 2 minutes
- Plate and top with parm cheese and some dried basil:

Bon Appetit!
Afterthought:
Definietly could use more tomato... if I had it.  Otherwise, pretty yummy!
